Waynflete Lodge Name

The name given to the Lodge is that of a Lincolnshire man, one William of Waynflete, Bishop of Winchester, Lord Chancellor of England and Founder of Magdalen College, Oxford, in the 15th Century. The name of the Boy’s Grammar School in Brackley is Magdalen College and the privilege of using in our Lodge badge the lilies that are incorporated in the Magdalen coat of arms, comes from that connection.
