Masons from Durham visit Brackley on 6th July on route to start their Lands End to John O'Groats bicycle ride for charity.

Their event was organised to raise money for the RMBI and Cystic Fibrosis. Reported that prior to the start of the ride pledges for charity had been received to the value of £5000 and some sponsorship towards their costs had been pledged.

 

 

Rob Dobson from Evenley was riding for the Cystic Fibrosis charity. W.Bro Eddy McGourley was riding for the RMBI and W.Bro Eddy Curkerr was driving the mobile camper and maintenance unit to support the two riders. The riders and now in their 60's but were professional racing cyclists so the 800 miles over 10 days wasn't through to be too difficult!
