WBro Arthur Barrett lived and worked in the Brackley area for the majority
of his life and sadly died in 2006.
Arthur had a great passion for cricket and followed Northants with
particular interest and travelled overseas on many occasions to see the
England team play.
Arthur was Master of the Lodge in 1987. Arthur although being in his later
70's and following a prolonged period of illness took on the Junior Warden
chair in the October 2006 past masters evening. Arthur was a Treasurer of
the lodge which office he held in the 1990's and his work as Chaplin will
always be remembered for the sincerity of his delivery.
Amongst many members his contributions to festive boards over the years will
be very well recalled for the monologues which he delivered. Albert and the
Lion and its variants being most particularly remembered.
